July is Creeping Towards Us!

July is seriously right around the corner and I don't want it for at least another week. I have been so busy with preparing for Baby H that I haven't spent too much time working on things for my classroom. The life of a teacher...new ideas, new lessons, new bulletin boards (which I like but NEVER want to put together...to bad there isn't a bulletin board fairy) and material.

My first wish if I ever meet a bulletin board genie! Create!!

I spent last weekend...well like a day and a half with my familia. Miss Mila was baptised. She is adorable and did her part like a champ! She thought the priest wanted her bow when he blessed her head so she took it out and handed it to him :) She may have messed up her hair but it was such a cute gesture :)

Toby and I checked out my parentals camp site for the summer! Very relaxing and their was a s'more incident. I have been waiting forever to eat a burnt marshmallow. It was magical until one burnt my lip and I was done.

It never seems like we have enough time to sit and chat. Always on a schedule.

This weekend was another great weekend! My sister brought out my niece and nephew for a little weekend getaway that allowed me to have a little fun :) we spent the day at Presque Isle with some Sarah's fun!

Followed by a little taco night.
She couldn't decide between water or the Shirley Temple! :)

My nephew took these pics a little blurry but the best ones.

Followed by some mini golf! Serious competition between those two!

Saturday we did a little two mile hike then off to Splash Lagoon!

Water park and pregnant is a fun time! Except for the fun rides I can't ride :( Luckily my niece wouldn't go on enclosed tunnel or anything fast so we were all about the lazy river, water tides, and kid pool!

Cade was riding the slides and practicing being on Ninja Warrior!

Definitely not many pictures when you are in & out of the water.

Sunday was a day of goodbyes :( We had Crackel Barrel for breakfast. I'm pretty sure the dogs will miss having kids around but it's safe to say they will be napping the next few days!

Baby H

He has been busy kicking and punching the last two weeks. His new thing is to make me extremely hungry at 330 in the morning! I usually want to sleep and not snack so it's a struggle. I have went to the kitchen and eaten a handful or two of trail mix to tie him over and for me to go back to sleep. Once I tried to ignore the hunger and was out of bed before 6 to eat and extremely tired because it wasn't good sleep.

Next post will have bump pictures for weeks 19-21. Blogging from the phone as we are on our way to Ohio for a little vaca.

Cubs Recap and Week 18 Bump Update

Cubs vs. Pirates game was an awesome way to start off our summer! We had great seats and were surrounded by fun people, Pirates fans, but honest fans that called their players out on their bad plays. And joked around with us in a fun, non threatening way. Couldn't have asked for better people to be around, especially with 32,000 people in attendance! The weather was perfect! It was about 75 and not too sunny! Super comfortable for this prego :) I love Pittsburgh. Toby drove through the city so we can look around and walk a bit before the game. He loves me.

And in case you didn't know the CUBS won!

Check out the bump at the end of week 18!

Along with the end of week 18 weeks we had a gender sono!

That's right! We are having a BOY! Gus was really excited that he wanted to eat the bow tie :) I wouldn't expect any different behavior from him! He will now have a boy to get dirty and cuddle with. LOL

Today marks the first day of week 19! Stay tuned for that update! We are already planning out the nursery :)

My Summer Has Officially Started

I can't believe another school year has come and gone. I had a great year at my new job. My coworkers and principal were awesome people to work with. The kids and I had our ups and downs but overall we ended on a positive note. I believe they made great strides although I'm partial to their learning. I can't wait to hear how they did on their state assessments. Even though I'm in much need to relax, rejuvenate, and reflect; I can't wait to start next school! Although a few months off is exactly what I need :)

Big plans to get a routine set up with all my new found time besides sleeping in. Baby's nursery will be a top priority!

I started my day with a nice run/walk of 3 miles. Working back from this cold has been challenging. But you can't beat the view when you need a walk break.

We have big plans for tomorrow! We are atarting our summer off with a Cubs vs. Pirates game! Stay tune...

Busy Time of the Year...

The past two weeks have been crazy busy with finishing up the school year, field trips, and curriculum writing. And it doesn't help that I have been sick with allergies (check out week 17's photo...helllloooo puffiness!)

I cannot wait for this week to end!
Summer break can not get here fast enough. I plan on:

1. Some R & R.
2. We have a few weekend getaways and weddings to attend this summer.
3. I'm excited to get some runs in during the early morning before it gets to hot...sunburn and pregnant is not a good mix.
4. Pool time
5. Hanging out with friends and family
6. Baby Nesting our home
7. Hikes (hopefully this belly doesn't get in the way)
8. Reading for myself and not just work

My friends have been super great throughout my pregnancy sending me advice and take care packages!

Week 16:

Week 17:

I can't believe that I will be 5 months this Thursday!!

If you need a good read this summer, I suggest Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn.  I'm not quite finished so I can't give you a full review but I did attach a link from good reads.

We find out the gender (if the child cooperates) next week? What's your guess?

What are you reading?

Weekly Preggers Updates :)

A little photo work we had in hiding the last three plus months. My artistic ability is more like a disability but it's the thought that counts :) We wanted to document the process. It's crazy how different the belly gut looks early on because it all depends on how bloated you are from week to week.. Oh the joys!

It all started with this 5 AM wake up call. No that can't be right let's try again and again and again. And later that afternoon to make sure it's right. Yay!!

Weekly updates so far : -)

WEEKS 9-10... well they were bad weeks and I was too tired to take pictures or deal with life after work :)

That bunny is ridiculously scary looking!

Week 12: who needs a belly shoot when you get to look at this :)

Week 13:

Week 14:

Week 15 (the last day of week 15):
Two weeks of quality runs too! WOO HOO!!

Tomorrow begins week 16!!! Time is flying. We'll be sure to post week 16 in a few days. I typically wait for the middle of the week or the last day of the week to account for any crazy behavior or symptoms to remember.

We are so happy and blessed with our little miracle :)

Side note: Any other teacher friends ready for the school year to be over? I have some crazy kids that I'm done with and ready for some relaxation. Hormones probably don't help my lack of patience with them too....

SURPRISE!!!!

Toby and I are super excited to announce we are preggers!! Toby has done the impossible by keeping his mouth shut on our secret. And I, well, my lack of blogging helped to ensure I would keep it too! I did take weekly pictures that I will post some time this week.

Hellloooo Again!!

It's been a hot minute since I have posted. I'm not going to lie... This is what we look like in case you forgot.

Classy.

There is a ton going on in our lives right now and some things will always be more important then catching y'all up on our life (in time).

I still manage to read a ton of blogs... hello lunch time activity when I should be working!

Which brings me to my next topic.

Goals. Everyone has them.

Lots of people post monthly goals they would like to accomplish every month. Sometimes I wonder how the hell they get through their long lists evey month. But what is the perfect number to have each month. And when is it too much?

Personally, I'm a goal setter, check shit off my list kinda person but to have a ridiculous amount of goals each month seems really daunting and exhausting! I'm not trying to make people feel bad about the goals they set but when you have 10 or more (and one of those goals is to complete it weekly) when do you live life? Maybe you know something I don't but this nice weather week has proven I can't stick to a to do list when it's nice outside. I've been stuck in the tundra for months. The list can wait! The sun will not wait for me

My goals for April (hypocrite much?just read on):

1. Enjoy Easter with friends and family!

2. I cannot wait to celebrate my niece, Mila's first birthday!!

3. Start a final school count down days! Woohooooo!!! What's nice about that timeline weekends are included so the school days left is actually less!!

4. Still working out 3-4 times a week! I'm not in training so I don't feel it is necessary to push it since I'm still struggling with my IT ban issue!

5. I'm not going to be an overachiever so I'm promising to blog at least once a week :-) for the remainder of the month!

6. Take a ton of pictures! Possible upload some too. Again, I don't want to over do it so we will see with the uploading part.  :-)

7. Enjoy whatever wonderful weather April brings Erie county this month!

8. Read a book for me and not for work.

Doable list!

How do you set goals?

Any good book recommendations?

Enjoy your hump day!!!
